What does Bei Loon mean?

Bei Loon means "Northern Dragons".

Where is Bei Loon located?

Our training is on beautiful Pittwater, located in the Northern Beaches region of Sydney NSW, Australia.

If I join the Pinks team can I participate in general Bei Loon Events?

Absolutely! All Pinks paddlers are full members of the Bei Loon parent club. However just like age and sex specific categories in competition, there are additional Breast Cancer Survivor (BCS) events exclusively for Pinks members.

Do I need to join before I can paddle?

No, find out more about our no obligation and free try-outs here.

Do I have to attend all training sessions?

No, you are free to attend as many or few sessions as you want - there is no pressure placed on you.

However, attendance at training is one of the criteria used for Regatta team selection.  But of coarse if you want to race, you will need to train regularly to be competitive.

Do I have to compete in races?

Absolutely not. Many paddlers attend as a way to improve their general health and fitness, and enjoy time out on our beautiful waterway.

How Social is the Club?

Bei Loon prides itself on being very friendly and welcoming. We have an active Social Committee which organises various activities, plus there are many other social gatherings organised between smaller groups of members.
