AusDBF National Championships, Wodonga, Victoria

40 members from Bei Loon Dragon Boat Club, ranging in age from 47 to 78 years old, travelled to Victoria to compete in the AusDBF National Dragon Boat Championships on Gateway Lake, Wodonga held on the 21st and 22nd of April 2017.  More than 60 crews from all over the country descended on Wodonga in an attempt to make their National mark.  Bei Loon’s hard training in the months leading up to the Championships paid off and the results speak for themselves coming home with 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals in various Masters (over 40) categories racing on courses from 200, 500 to 2000 metres.

As well as this, nine members of Bei Loon were selected to represent New South Wales in the State v State competition and, again, our State Representatives did Bei Loon proud bringing home 3 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals and 1 Bronze.

Bei Loon always welcome new members to come and try dragon boat paddling on beautiful Pittwater @ Rowland Reserve, Bayview.
